From NY to London with a day at home
Greetings from London!
My life has been a whirlwind these last few weeks - But, to re-cap - Last week I was in NY for the Coterie show and the show was AMAZING!!!! First off - Coterie is a show in NYC which takes place twice a year - it is where all the ready-to -wear designers display their clothing for the upcoming seasons. This time the season was Spring/Summer. EVERY major label is there - from Diane Von Furstenberg, to La Rok, Trina Turk, Charolette Ronson, Alice and Olivia, and my personal favorite - BCBG.
Our booth was located on a tiny coroner along the western wall - we rocked the small space we had by papering the walls with black paper and hanging hundreds of pieces of chain in varying lengths draping down them - in the center we put our sign and then around the perimeter of our booth we put 5 small round tables with which we used for display - it looked great and we had tons of people stopping to admire the new line -
We picked up some amazing new international stores in the UK, Korea, and Taiwan, We met and began working with the editors of Vogue Korea and Vogue China - which is neat for us as fashion is just beginning to really take hold in those countries.
Following the four days in NYC I flew home to spend time with my husband and son. I LOVED every minute of being at home - shopping for groceries with Geffen, taking him our for frozen yogurt, going to the park with Geffen and Jared and watching Jared teach Geffen how to skate-board. It was a really special time for me.
Then it was over and I had a 4am wake up call so I could catch my 6:30am flight to London.
And - about 18 hours later - London!
Today was a play day - but tomorrow the real work begins - I have appointments with many stores to show them the line - I am also meeting with a bunch of UK editors as well - so the next few days will be full to say the least -
And that is all for now - off to sleep!
For girls it is like a dream place filled with the latest shoes, handbags and accessories - I could not help but drool over the BCBG spring 2009 collection - the colors and patterns are so funky and fun -
